About Roxanne McLean
Roxanne McLean is a trained Chartered Management Accountant, Food Ingredients Specialist, and part-time lecturer.
Despite starting off her career as an auditor, financial consultant and investment analyst for small and medium businesses Roxanne found her passion as the Food Ingredients Procurement Manager at Unilever South Africa for several years.
As the Food Ingredients Procurement Manager she worked with hundreds of food ingredients suppliers, farmers, factories and multinational supply chains to streamline processes, highlight issues and reduce costs. She worked with transformational agricultural projects and constantly advocated for local sourcing arrangements, bridging the gap between farmers and corporate.
In her capacity as Food Ingredients Manager for one of the biggest food buyers in the country, Roxanne held positions as a director on various agricultural boards including the Rooibos Council of South Africa, and participated in many more.
Since her departure from Unilever in 2016 Roxanne has worked as a supply chain consultant for PriceWaterhouseCoopers, lectures at the Institute of Management Accounting and Strategy and runs Founder Foods.
